Kathleen "Kay" Wenger is a Licensed Marriage, Family and Individual Counselor and a Licenced Professional Clinical Counselor. She maintains a private practice in Laguna Beach and Irvine, CA.
With over 24 years experience as a marriage and family therapist, and as a graduate of Pepperdine University specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are couples and marriage therapy, adolescents and teens, anxiety, depression, premarital therapy.
In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Kathleen has conducted numerous workshops and trainings on being a therapist and currently teaches at Pepperdine University, where she is the Manager of M.A. Clinical Training for those learing to become Marriage and Family therapists. Kathleen also is the supervisor for the therapy programs at the Susi Q Senior Center in Laguna Beach, where she facilitates the bi-weekly "Coffee Talk with Kay" support group.
Kathleen is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She combines techniques and solutions to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
