About Me

Kathleen "Kay" Wenger Kathleen "Kay" Wenger is a Licensed Marriage, Family and Individual Counselor and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She maintains a private practice with offices in Laguna Beach and Irvine, CA.

With over 28 years of experience as a marriage and family therapist, and as a graduate of Pepperdine University specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are couples and marriage therapy, adolescents and teens, anxiety, depression and premarital therapy.

In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Kathleen has conducted numerous workshops and trainings on being a therapist and she is newly retired from Pepperdine University where she taught and was the Manager of the Clinical Training Department for Graduate level students who were on their way to becoming Marriage and Family therapists. Kathleen also is the Clinical Supervisor for the innovative behavioral health programs at the Susi Q Senior Center in Laguna Beach, where she facilitates a weekly "Coffee Talk with Kay" support group for seniors.

Kathleen is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She combines techniques and solutions to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
